“Last Roll of Kodachrome” – @STLToday Photographer @Kodacohen

By lauradud84 / / Great little story with some beautiful captures of the Missouri State Fair sprinkled throughout. The dedication to craft is apparent as well as the passion in driving 3.5 hours to get your last, precious roll developed. “For six decades it sat perched atop the mountain, the king of color film. But time ran out for Kodachrome. Eastman Kodak Co. stopped production in 2009. The only photo lab in the United States that developed it – Dwayne’s Photo in Parsons, Kansas – processed their last roll on December 30, 2010. This photographer found one last roll and took it to the Missouri State Fair.”
