By lauradud84 / / This is pretty spectacular. We’d love to see it get extended to St. Louis City Library cardholders as well and for there to be a marketing push to high school/college age students in high-risk urban areas; get ’em off the streets and learning real world creative applications. Seriously, how can we get this to happen? Starting August 1, SLCL cardholders will have access to Lynda.com – a popular video tutorial website. Normally, using Lynda.com requires a paid subscription, but SLCL cardholders will be able to access Lynda.com content for free at home or in the library with a valid SLCL card number and PIN. Lynda offers a variety of tutorials to help users build skills in software, design and business. SLCL Card Members can sign up here. *UPDATE: City Residents can get a county card and use these services. Thanks Rich Vagen for contacting SLCL and finding this out.
