Ebay Channels Pinterest in Redesign

In conjunction with the recently redesigned logo, Ebay logically decided to redesign their site as well. From the looks of things, it appears that they borrowed heavily from Pinterest's layout in the process. Granted, the new feed functionality looks really nice, lets you create a feed of things you buy as well as follow other people's feeds. Our questions is, is it a functionality rip-off or just a general evolution of how goods are presented on the web?

We're guessing that this new integration has something to do with them purchasing Egotist founder Ben Pieratt's startup, Svpply, just a little bit ago.
