This Week's for You, Designers - @STLDesignWeek Begins Today #STLDW

It's design week time of year once again and if you're unaware of this fact than you either haven't been paying attention to twitter or you're an in-house slave with restricted browsing that doesn't allow you to see what's happening in the outside world during normal work hours.

This fall, AIGA St. Louis will present STL DesignWeek 2012, September 24–30, a week- long series of events and programs designed to engage – highlighting and celebrating the impact of design in our community and recognizing the efforts and contributions of emerging and established local designers, architects, illustrators, photographers and others in St. Louis’ emerging and established creative collective.

In an impressively collaborative effort, the St. Louis Design Week website has been up and running thanks to Atomicdust with art direction & poster design from one of our favorites Carlos Zamora.

Also, TOKY has built an app that will help you keep track of the events and festivities while you're on the go to make sure you stay on top of all the design week goodness.

You can also thank Deanna Kuhlmann-Leavitt of KLI for assembling the impressive team of STL Design Avengers and for amping things up a bit more than last year. Many thanks as well to AIGA for bringing us Design Week and for an ever-growing, thriving and undeniably creative community that makes a week of events like this even possible.

We'll continue to update the community all week long as opposed to one massive overview post in order to keep you abreast of all the happenings. Now excuse us as we dive through the mountain of information, tweets and emails related to STLDW so we can figure out exactly what the hell is happening.
