You know it's going to be an interesting weekend whenever GroveFest comes around. This year, they're stepping up the musical portion of the festival by booking national band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! as the headliners of the free festival (along with some well-known & lesser-known local acts).

While the music aspect has definitely taken a turn for the better, we can't say the same about the poster art for this year's event.

Maybe they thought it was called GroovyFest? If you think we're being too harsh, take a look at last year's branding by Work/Play that was about 300x closer to capturing the actual vibe of the hipstery, LGBT-friendly strip. We vote for them to be the annual design crew behind this festival.
