The @StLouisRams Name @BoxingCleverSTL AOR & Launch First Spot "Role Models"
Here's some big news for an agency that seems to be growing by leaps and bounds lately; Boxing Clever has landed the St. Louis Rams as a new client for the 2012-13 season. If they can do half the job that Hughes has recently executed for the Cardinals and create interest in a team that is nowhere near half as good, we'll consider that a rousing success.
From their news release:
"We are thrilled to announce that we were recently named agency of record for the St. Louis Rams. We were one of several St. Louis-based agencies who were invited to pitch to become the St. Louis Rams new agency of record. With a single-round pitching process, Boxing Clever officially won the business in June 2012. BC's work with the Rams will include branding, strategy, event, print, digital executions, radio, TV and much more."
“We’ve been watching the Rams from the South End Zone since they came to St. Louis, and our agency is extremely proud to be working with them,” said Jim Harper, partner and executive creative director at Boxing Clever. “With the youngest squad in the NFL and a marquee starting quarterback and former rookie of the year winner in Sam Bradford, the market is relatively untapped and ripe for cultivating new Rams fans and expanding the Rams brand.”
Here's the first spot that Boxing Clever has executed for the Rams entitled "Role Models". We're fans of the concept highlighting a "love of the game" theme with kids playing ball on the Arch grounds and imitating their favorite players.

That's one of the best NFL team ads I've seen in a long time! Awesome stuff - especially overcoming the challenge of creatively marketing one of the least marketable franchises.
Almost makes you forget about last year's "Rams Rules."
Anyone else immediately think these kids have a legit chance against the Rams?
