Local Photographer @JakePotts Turns iPhone Glass Into Wet Plate Collodion Film

/ Comments (0)

Bruton Stroube creative Jake Potts recently detailed how he turned a glass black replacement for an iPhone 4s into a piece of DIY art based off of the 150+ year old collodion process. As a result of this inspired ingenuity, he's been landing all over the internet — displaying this unique process (including Petapixel & Gizmodo) to the delight of photo nerds everywhere.

Photograph your subject

Pour the collodion

Developed!

Fix it up

Voila!

All you other creative tinkerers and inventors, be sure to submit your side projects to get some shine on the work you don't create for your heartless clients. For ex. here's a colored pencil art installation by Simon Lam that we featured awhile ago.
