Zombie Yearbook Photos, Tattoo Series, Gorgeous Models - these are a few reasons why we like Brian Cummings. Ever since his debut show Bodies of Work, which showcased his dark & sultry personal style through portraits of people and their ink, we've known that Brian is on the cusp of photographic stardom. He followed up that show with a hilarious and well done Zombie Highschool Yearbook series called Dead of the Class. Something that we appreciate is that his show openings are basically parties; beer runs thick, laid back patrons chat while looking at the large canvassed photos, and the supplementary activities are well thought out and executed (custom t-shirts, temporary tattoos, etc.)

Here's a brief bio:
In 2007, Brian left his position as senior creative director for BACARDI USA to become a commercial photographer. Working in the midtown area, he is now teamed with photographer Rob Grimm at RGG PHOTO. With over 15 years of art directing and graphic design experience, Brian now marries his visual and conceptual interests into making images for his clients and himself.

Coming this October, Brian will debut a new gallery show about burlesque performers. We will be there. You should too. (Last image is a special Egotist sneak peak of the upcoming burlesque show next month!)

Amazing stuff! be sure to remind everyone about the show when it is near.

I have, and will probably always be a big fan of Brian's work.

I am looking forward to do the day when I know he won't have to spend countless hours retouching my photo for me to give in and just get some really good pics. of myself...but maybe capturing people, flaws and all and turning them into a beautiful work of art is where his real talent is. Not many other photographers have an eye for it, or can capture that.

Kudos to you Brian, keep up the great work!

Any profile of Brian would be incomplete without a mention of all the great pro bono work he does behind the scenes, without a ton of ego and with a great deal of passion, for organizations as diverse as the Contemporary Art Museum, Midtown Alley and many, many bike activities. He's a genuinely good fella.

Can't wait to see his next show! I've known Brian for years and he's a brilliant photographer, designer, and creative thinker. If you ever get a chance to work with him, make it happen.

GREAT STUFF BRIAN! That was in all caps to simulate yelling, that's how much I dig Brian's photos.

YES! It is a pleasure to know this man professionally and socially. As Eric says, he is behind so many pro-STL things it would make your head spin. We know great things are in store for him and his energy, attitude, & philosophy are incredible!

Speaking of, you can see the essence of Brian's awesomeness this weekend by checking out the Gateway Cup! He's been doing this work for years and is an unsung hero in the cycling community.

oh yeah, he can take a damn fine photo too!

thanks for the profile egotist!
