100 Years And Roaring

In a similar vein of the "God Bless St. Louis" post, we came upon these two commercials for the St. Louis Zoo that got us feeling all nostalgic and mushy; First spot & second.
It appears that AdSavants are the firm behind this direction with some healthy backing by Coolfire heads. Props to AdSavants for making a creative departure from previous hokey attempts at representing one of the best zoo's in the nation (and one of the only free ones).

The spots themselves are very well done and easily relatable, although the script and voice talent are slightly awkward on the second. The camerawork is top-notch and perfectly shot in that blurry-childhood-memory fashion complemented by some nice editing and post work. We love that Coolfire is behind the production of some of these pro-STL pieces and encourage them to keep turning their obviously capable lens inward on our great city.
