God Bless St. Louis
We happened upon this surprisingly good destination video for St. Louis this morning and felt compelled to share it with everyone. As you may know, we have much pride in our city and would like to communicate this with honesty. We also feel that St. Louis should lose the stigma of trying to "catch up" with bigger cities and embrace our charm and uniqueness so that the big cities desire the wonderful culture inherent to our town.
This has been an announcement from the bleeding-hearted tourism department of the St. Louis Egotist. Ahthankyou.

I sit next to the guys who worked on this stuff, and I think it's worth noting that Tim Gebauer, a talented local musician, did the track on this piece. He's done a ton of national work and is a great resource to have in our town.
This was a great collaborative piece - Coolfire Media's Patrick Vaughan edited the video. Great work everyone.
Sweet. Nice work, Patrick. Very cool piece.
Thank you for assigning the credit - they deserve to be noted on this great work. The music & sound design is especially dope.
yay Patrick!! (ps, I want my derby car!! :) ) ...
Very nice. Good pace, music, visuals. What kind of camera did you use to shoot this?
St. Louis can "hang" with any city. Tons of great places, people and events. Good work Patrick!
Holy crap that was awesome. The editing was fantastic obviously, but who shot it? How long did it take?
This is great and it's kind of remarkable to see a piece like this for people who have lived here their whole lives; would love to see even more of the city and surrounding areas treated in a similar fashion: the Loop, the Grove, Maplewood, Grant's Farm, Grand, Cherokee, Soulard Farmer's Market, etc.
Very nice work. STL should be proud.
Rob Durbin shot a lot of this. I forgot what kind of camera he used, but check out his work at lookshd.com. Cool stuff. Plus, you can see all the work Patrick put into it.
The rest of the footage was provided by the St. Louis CVC and their partners throughout the city.
And, of course, Tim Gebauer composed some kickass original music for it.
We've been shooting a lot with Rob for 4ORCE of late and he's GREAT to work with. Kudos to all involved!
Gorgeous! Way to go CFM and all collaborators!
I like. But St. Lou is alive?
is alive?
alive?
well that certainly doesn't set the bar too high does it? safe as..well, what if the end was "we move really fast-on video".
or "St Louis; we're provincial as all hell."
or:"we don't all get along..but we get on with life."
love from a a StL expat.
@luap Good to see you commenting around these parts... keep bringing the "experimental" point of view on any news posts ;)
