Giving From the Sole - Falk Harrison

Falk Harrison decides to buck the trend of pandering to clients with holiday gifts and decides to pander to those with more basic needs. You know, like shoes and water.
"For the past few years our goal has been to support a local charity by doing something that will really help. Putting our 2010 holiday campaign together has been quite an undertaking but we know it will make a real difference.
Their campaign is about collecting used shoes to donate to the Shoeman Water Projects Org.
Once collected, the shoes are given a second life when the Shoeman exports the donated shoes to retailers in the developing world. The resale of shoes provides jobs and affordable footware. Funds generated from the export of shoes provides well drilling rigs, water purification systems, and hand pump repair mirco businesses bringing clean, fresh water to those who thirst.
We think this is pretty much the most bad ass agency 'gift' we've seen so far this year and exemplifies what this time of year should be about.
Request a bag or Schedule a pickup
Falk says, "When done, we hope to collect over 2,000 pairs of shoes. Our office may end up smelling like a high school locker room for a bit but it will be worth it."
Let's double those expectations. Get your coworkers old shoes (make sure they are at least fit for human wearing) and start filling them up. You have until January 25th.

Hey Egotist, thanks much for the support on this. We are getting in more requests for shoe collection bags, great stuff!
No problem - we'll send out a few reminders along the way.
My roommate from Mizzou, Karl Johnson, actually coordinates pick-ups, drop-offs, and all the other essential functions for the Shoeman Project in Columbia, MO. Since he started in September, he has collected around 11,000 pairs of shoes from the area.
I give a "tip of my hat" to Falk Harrison.
