Position Accountabilities

Assures the timely conception, development, coordination and production of highly creative big ideas and graphic solutions.
Assures that the relevant, appropriate level of style and fashion is infused in all creative work consistent with brand position and target audience.
Assures the effective communication of each brand’s message strategy to the target audience.
Assures effective communication and involvement with outside agencies and consultants to ensure consistent creative solutions for each brand.

Position Essential Functions

Designs, develops, and coordinates the production of creative marketing and brand communications, photo shoots, high-level concepting projects, and new business initiatives, with a thorough understanding of the creative process.
Ensures the appropriate and considered use of imagery, illustration, typography and layout in all graphic solutions.
Proofreads and edits written materials, as directed, for all brands and projects.
Researches and stays current on consumer style, fashion and trend information and interprets through the work relevant to each brand and target consumer.
Researches brand competitive environments, understands primary research and each brand’s consumer segments.
Partners with external creative agencies and vendors, and is able to oversee selection of photographers, models, wardrobe and product styling for key photo shoots.
Drives creative projects, critiques concepts/copy, and provides clear direction that inspires and motivates team members.
Tailors concepts to match budget/timing/scope, and articulates how creative solutions are appropriate for brand position, achieves messaging strategy, and resonates with the target audience.
Negotiates creative concepts with clients and management to ensure the best design solutions are selected.
Supports the Creative Director and serves as a backup when unavailable.

Position Specifications

Educational Preference:

BA degree in Commercial Art or any related degree

Job Experience:

Previous Advertising Agency or Creative Department experience. Supervisor experience a plus.
A proven leader in creative execution with a diverse, brand oriented portfolio.
A strong sense of fashion and knowledge of the footwear and/or apparel industries preferred
Has strong organizational,planning,and time-management skills, with a proven capacity to prioritize, perform time-sensitive tasks, and facilitate team-based sessions.
Has strong research, analytical, technical, written/oral presentation skills,
Possesses collaborative decision-making skills, the ability to adapt quickly to change, and solves problems by identifying issues and finding alternative solutions.

Computer Experience:

Required: MAC, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat-Lightroom or photography correction skills preferred.
